Focus and Scope

The Journal of Food Security Governance is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on the governance, policy, and institutional dimensions of food security across diverse socio-economic, political, and environmental contexts. The journal provides a platform for rigorous and evidence-based studies that examine how governance arrangements, public policies, and institutional coordination shape food security outcomes, with particular attention to equity, sustainability, and social justice.

The journal publishes original theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented research that addresses both structural and emerging challenges in food security governance. It welcomes contributions that analyze food systems through lenses of political economy, rights-based approaches, multi-level governance, and institutional performance, spanning local, national, and global scales.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:
