Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan demokrasi lokal serta partisipasi masyarakat terhadap demokrasi lokal. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review yang menggunakan 450 artikel ilmiah. Artikel-artikel ini berasal dari jurnal internasional dan dijadikan sebagai sumber data utama penelitian ini yang bersumber dari databse scopus. Review artikel menggunakan aplikasi Vosviewer. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa trend penelitian demokrasi lokal saat dari tahun 2021-2024 mengalami penurunan. Penelitian tentang demokrasi lokal merupakan salah satu topik yang menarik banyak perhatian ahli dan telah menjadi subjek diskusi yang luas. Hal ini didukung oleh sejumlah penelitian yang menyoroti ketimpangan yang masih terjadi seperti konflik masyarakat dan pemerintah, kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat, dan ketidakmurnian demokrasi. Mengingat pertimbangan-pertimbangan ini, penting untuk memahami perkembangan penelitian atau karya ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan demokrasi lokal. Penelitian ini memiliki signifikansi yang besar untuk memandu arah masa depan maka penting untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan penelitian. Analisis dilakukan terhadap berbagai aspek fundamental terkait konsep, dampak, dan makna demokrasi lokal yang telah dikaji sebelumnya. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah artikel yang digunakan hanya bersumber dari database scopus sehingga temuan penelitian tidak dapat menggambarkan secara komprehensif tentang demokrasi lokal di berbagai dunia.
